Synopsis

Morphology is a study of morphemes and how they combine to form words. It is the smallest meaningful unit in a language and includes noun inflection. The course looks at the formation of new words and the ways in which words have changed over time. In addition, it discusses affixes, inflectional alternations, word creation, quantifiers, determiners, conjunctions, clitics, etc.
