Synopsis

In the social work practicum students apply classroom learning to their respective field setting. Students assume responsibility, under supervision, for serving individuals and/or families, facilitating or observing small groups, and interacting with other providers in the community. The weekly field seminar fosters the integration of theory with practice through a structure in which the instructor encourages critical thinking on practice issues and students support and learn from one another.
