Air Freight Management (LOG355)


Air transport is a vital component of many international logistics networks. This course provides students with an insight of the air freight industry covering the organisational, operational and management aspects. It examines the importance of government agencies, airlines and associations in the industry. The course presents the concepts and applications involved in air freight, including handling procedures, equipment, regulations, pricing and IT applications. Students will learn the importance of management in air freight forwarding for improving organisational profitability, efficiency and responsiveness.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
