FMT303 Property Law will introduce to students the basic principles of property law in relation to the ownership, transaction and tenancy of property. Topics include the possession of land, creation and transfer of interests/ownership in property, tenures and estates in co-ownership, mortgages and other interests in land, community title schemes and drafting of leases and other documents, other relevant legal requirements in the real estate business including in relation to planning approvals process and the BMSA Act and other regulations.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
