Synopsis

Students will be introduced to the world of children’s literature, including its types and genres. Opportunities are given for them to investigate the fundamentals of plot, structure, voice, characterization and dialogue that make up a good story for young children. They will examine various ways of communicating with young children and write a picture book or an article for publication.

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in Canvas. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
