Synopsis

The course provides in-depth overview of 10 group theories and how to put these into practice. Students will learn about group processes, application to the stages of a group and also how to apply group counseling to multicultural, ethical and school contexts. The final goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills for effective group counseling. The module presents and active, multi-sensory approach to group counseling. It introduces participants to group dynamics and therapeutic forces of the group process.
