Synopsis

With the rise of the Chinese economy and the growing economic and trade co-operation between Singapore and China, more working adults need to communicate with Chinese-speaking associates and/clients. The focus of this course is effective communications in Chinese in line with Chinese business practice. This activity-based course aims to provide an understanding of Chinese communication style, equip the students with the necessary knowledge and skills to communicate in an effective manner in different business situations. It will also help students improve their personal effectiveness and relationships with business associates and clients. This course will be delivered through seminar discussion, role-play and online discussion in Chinese, with a focus on oral communication competency. 随着中国经济的崛起与新中经贸合作的加强, 越来越多的工作人士需要以华文与客户或合作伙伴交流。本课程旨在帮助学生提高华文商务交流技巧。 本课程通过多种练习与讨论,加强学生对华文商务交流特点的理解,并提高学生在不同工作或商务场景的交流技巧。本课程也有助于学生社交技巧与合作伙伴与客户关系的加强。本课程的讲授包括讲师讲解及课堂与网上讨论。

E-Learning: BLENDED - Learning is done MAINLY online using interactive study materials in MyUniSIM. Students receive guidance and support from online instructors via discussion forums and emails. This is supplemented with SOME face-to-face sessions. If the course has an exam component, this will be administered on-campus.
