Synopsis

BSE225 An Introduction to Land- and Water-Based Adventure Education covers the foundation, theory, and practices of adventure-based education. Students will not only develop adventure-based technical skills but, more importantly, the imparting of those skills to young people under their charge. Instructional aspects of adventure-based education are based on experiential pedagogy, facilitation and contemporary practices. Students will acquire relevant knowledge and skills for managing adventure-based outdoor education.
